With 20 years of policy, legislative, legal and advocacy experience, Lauren is a member of the ONC senior leadership team and serves as the Senior Advisor & Director of Stakeholder Engagement in the immediate Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC). At ONC, Lauren serves on the HHS delivery system reform team and directs ONC’s private sector engagement teams, and works closely with all the program divisions and their leadership.
Prior to joining ONC, Lauren represented healthcare, high technology and biomedical industries before Congress, the Administration and industry stakeholders for over 15 years. Prior to her work in the private sector, Lauren served as Counsel to the Deputy Director General of UN-World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), as the Senior Advisor to the Undersecretary for Domestic Finance at the Treasury Department, and as a Counsel on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
Lauren holds a J.D. from the UC Hastings College of Law, M.A. in International Finance/Banking from Columbia University, and B.A. in Political Science from UC Berkeley.
